This September, I plan to attend the world's first Master of Arts and Science program in Reparatory Justice at the University of Glasgow in Scotland. On July 15th, I received my student visa, which means I am officially approved to spend the next 12 months learning how communities address historical harms through repair, justice, and collective stewardship.

My call to this work has grown from years of witnessing and experiencing injustice, personal experiences of abuse and prejudice that amplified my commitment to advocating for historically marginalized communities. This program is an opportunity to deepen that commitment by learning from specialists and gaining the knowledge and insights to contribute to equitable, systemic change.

After completing this program, I plan to integrate what I learn into practice by collaborating with organizations and communities impacted by historical and ongoing harms to support self-determination, cultural revitalization, and regenerative initiatives.

Student loans will cover most of my education costs, but they will not cover all the essential expenses associated with completing this program. I am seeking $27,000 in community support to help cover the remaining tuition and housing costs that make my year of study in Scotland possible. If you are unable to give financially, sharing my story with others is another way to empower my work.

Throughout the school year, I will share monthly updates, reflections, and photos from Scotland with everyone who supports me so you can follow along on the journey. It will be an honor to share how your support is shaping my experience and contributing to the work I plan to carry forward. If you would like to learn more about my vision or simply let me know you are cheering me on, I would love to connect before I depart on September 8th.

Thank you for rooting for me and supporting my efforts to help build a healthier nation for us.
